Rick and Lauren are potters and educators living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They have been making pottery together since 2012, when they first met while studying ceramics at Whitman College under Joe Page. Since then, they’ve studied under Nan Hamilton and Ray Duvall at Mudville Pottery in Somerville, Massachussetts, and Dane Venaas and Troy Schmidt at the University of California, Santa Barbara. They now benefit from the wonderful community at the Milwaukee Makerspace. They are not penguins.
